Athelstan (Handsworth) Children’s Centre
Your local Children’s Centre has a variety of free activities open to parents and families. There’s health visitor sessions, breastfeeding support groups, Citizens Advice Bureau sessions, information on children’s services and much more. Handsworth Community Gardens Trust
The community gardens are situated within the council run allotment site on Finchwell Road. They were created by local residents around 10 years ago. Handsworth residents are invited to come along and either garden at their leisure, help out with keeping the communal areas tidy or just taking in the sights and relaxing. Handsworth Grange Sports Centre
Located in the grounds of Handsworth Grange Community Sports College (accessible through the Beaver Hill Road entrance), Handsworth Grange Sports Centre provides a wide range of sporting opportunities to the local community. Facilities include a state of the art gym, sports hall, climbing wall, and floodlit astro-turf. Handsworth & Hallam Theatre Company

The Old Rectory
We are a not for profit organisation that uses our commercial facilities to raise funds to restore the building and to keep it open as a venue for the local community to hold groups and events, many of which we are able to subsidise or run on cost basis. Throughout the week there are all ages and all sorts of interest groups using the centre.
